Classic Manhattan
2 ounces Rye Whiskey, preferably Rittenhouse Rye
1 ounce Sweet Vermouth, preferably Noilly Prat
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
1 maraschino cherry, for garnish
Add rye, vermouth, and bitters to a mixing glass with ice. Stir for 45 seconds and strain into a chilled coupe glass. Drop in the cherry and serve.
