Bardstown Bourbon Company Single Barrel Rye Finished in Toasted Cherry Wood, which clocks in at 118.6 proof. An absolutely amazing rye for all seasons. These rye single barrels are the BEST thing to come out of BBCo.

When helping select this single barrel, we were truly greeted with 4 amazing samples. Every sample came from the same Rickhouse A and were all at the same 6-year age point and all the same 95% rye 5% malted barley mash. What made this barrel stand out was the uniqueness and the presence of the cherry wood finish. This is the best example of what a toasted barrel should taste like.

Nose: Orange glazed cherry tart with a hint of smoke from the toasted barrel that reveals a toasted almond note.

Palate: Dark chocolate mocha with a hint of cinnamon, pepper and that cherry oak that really help coat the middle of the palate before finishing with a cherry taffy note at the end.

Finish: Bold rye spice that lingers with a Kentucky hug. Chocolate, cherry and orange continue on until your next sip starts the adventure all over again.

France- The cognac is diamond-bright. The complex nose of pleasant floral accents, smooth fruitiness & honey aromas with hints of sweet pepper, chocolate & strong hints of oak. Intense yet smooth & silky, ending on lasting soft wood aromas.
